Revitalizing History: A Modern Rebrand for The National Museum of Finland"

In the rich tapestry of Finland’s past, The National Museum stands as a storied conduit, linking bygone eras to our contemporary moment. The imperative to thread this historical reverence with a fresh, modern ambiance paved the way for a strategic rebrand, notably culminating in a vibrant brand collection launch.

Strategic Alliance in Design and Communication

Embarking on a collaborative journey, we converged with The National Museum of Finland, not merely as designers but as strategic partners in reshaping and broadcasting a new era for the institution. Our task transcended mere aesthetic redesign; it demanded a nuanced understanding of cultural narratives, spatial stories, and the pulsating dynamic of modernity and tradition.

Innovation Meets Heritage: A Design Philosophy

The launched brand collection became a pivotal chapter in the museum’s brand revitalization narrative. Infused with the essence of the newly sculpted image of the museum, it was curated to navigate, articulate, and embody the museum's transition into a sphere that dialogues with both casual and modern contexts while venerating its historical roots.

Coalescence of Disciplines: Concept to Launch

From concept genesis, communication strategy formulation, meticulous graphic design, expressive photography, to orchestrating the launch event amidst the eclectic atmosphere of Helsinki Design Week 2015, our involvement was holistic. We forged a space where design met strategy, and heritage met contemporary – ensuring each component not only conversed with the museum’s redefined image but also celebrated it.

A Vision Materialized

Photography by Kristiina Männikkö weaved a visual story that harmonized with our design ethos, while the aesthetic contributions of Emilie Tuuminen (Hair & Make-up) and our models (Jenni, Merivan, Maire, Eetu, Jorma & Nanna) brought to life a tangible embodiment of our strategic and design visions, converging to narrate a reinvigorated tale of The National Museum of Finland.
